The Crossroads Infoshop is Expanding!
The infoshop is expanding! In mid-April 2007 we started remodeling a bigger space at 3109 Troost which has street access. This space is over 1000 square feet and will dramatically increase the size of the infoshop and bookstore. The current infoshop opened in June 2006 and is smaller than 200 square feet.
The expansion of the infoshop/bookstore will allow us to carry more books, magazines and other materials for sale. The new space will have tables, couches and chairs where people can read, stody or cabal. We hope to house part of our library in the news space and provide services such as free internet. The infoshop will have events in the new space and it will be available for activist meetings.
We can't do this expansion without your help! We need volunteers to help us fix up the space. We need volunteers to help us staff the space and run the overall infoshop project. We are looking for financial donations. Can you help us organize a benefit concert? A guest speaker or book author appearance? Does your group need a place to meet? Can you donate bookcases, furniture, plants or books? Can you help us promote the project or our events? Are you in a and or do you perform? Are you a poet? Want to organize an open mic night at the CMAC?
